Fjäderholmarnas Brewery and Brewpub (Beer)

Fjäderholmarnas Brewery and Brewpub on the island of Stora Fjäderholmen threw open its doors in May 2014. The idea was to construct a micro-brewery with integrated pub (a so-called “brewpub”) which would offer its visitors the opportunity to sample the beer directly from the bright beer tanks.This concept is relatively unusual in Sweden today and the hope is to give to the visitors a different and unique experience. The location on the island of Fjäderholmarna – the closest island in the archipelago to central Stockholm – will add to the experience. It is interesting to be located in an area of historical significance harking back to the famous “brännvinskriget” or “aquavitwar” (a dispute between the Royal monopoly and a private aquavit company regarding the selling of liquor) in the 1870s and 1880s. Tthe brewing of beer is  a form of art, or rather a craft, and hence ”craft beer”, which means that the Brewery fits well with other traders on the island.

The ambition is to be able to offer visitors a genuine craft beer experience that will etch itself into the taste memory for a while. We not only Individual guests and groups are not only welcome but can also host corporate functions for those who are interested in an experience in the form of beer tasting and the craft behind beer brewing.
