Zeppole di San Giuseppe

The Zeppole di San Giuseppe are the sweet symbol of the Festa di San Giuseppe, or Father’s Day. The Zeppole di San Giuseppe are soft choux pastry, according to the original recipe, strictly fried and then stuffed with custard and sour cherries in syrup.

A very good dessert, typical of the Campania tradition, which especially on March 19, is the most popular concoction in pastry shops throughout Naples but which is also prepared throughout Italy, where each region has its own version.
