Wine from Campania

Wine from Campania. According to Decanter the region of Campania makes up for roughly over 3% of Italy’s overall vineyard areas. However, it is blessed with some powerful and at the same time charismatic red wines like Aglianico and delicious whites produced by the varieties of Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, and Fiano di Avellino.

The region is famous for producing Falerno (Falernum), one of the most ancient wines in Italy. Modern bianco is usually made from the fragrant and prestigious Falangina. Falerno del Massico Rosso is predominantly made from Aglianico and Piedirosso grapes with the occasional addition of Primitivo and Barbera.
