The recipe was created by Pasticceria Poppella which has been around since 1920 and the name was chosen precisely in reference to its immaculate appearance: snowflakes! These pretty mounds covered with powdered sugar hide a light and frothy ricotta cream, with a delicate hint of vanilla.
