Antico Fattore (Budget Friendly)
At Antico Fattore you will find authentic, typical recipes of the Florentine cuisine prepared in the way of the old. Appetizers: the best Tuscan cured meats, crostini of chicken liver paté, and cabbage bruschetta. Famous Florentine soups: ribollita, bread and tomato soup (pappa al pomodoro), and Tuscan vegetable soup. They are just an anticipation of the main course, fresh pasta: pappardelle pasta with wild boar ragu, Mugello potato tortellini, and the house pici pasta are some of the delicious first courses we offered.
The second courses show all the love and respect the owners have for Florentine cuisine. Among these, Florentine osso buco (braised veal shanks), sausage and fagioli all’uccelletto (white beans in tomato sauce), and wild boar stew are just some of the dishes that fully express the iconic flavors of the local historical recipes.
The always-burning grill will cook: local lamb and mixed grill alongside the undisputed queen of the table, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, Florence’s T-bone steak. The Florentine Steak is well-broiled, three fingers high, well-cooked outside and succulent inside. The place also has an insanely rich history. If you want to discover it, see here.
