What is hygge? Well, this is not an easy answer. It can mean a lot of things but in general, it means something cozy, homey, and simple like reading a book indoors on a rainy day. This Danish lifestyle trend had acquired an official term that describes it since the 1800s.

This lifestyle trend can be found in several northern European countries like the Netherlands or Germany with a different name of course.
