Espinacs a la Catalana

Espinacs a la Catalana is a typical Catalan side dish that is found in some of the oldest Catalan cookbooks. Green bunches of brewed spinach, a generous dose of garlic, some tablespoons of golden or dark raisins & pine nuts with extra virgin olive oil make up another recipe of Mediterranean simplicity that can accompany almost any dish.

Variations made with other seasonal greens can also be prepared “a la Catalan”.
