The Picasso Museum is a great reminder of the city ties to the colossal art figure of Pablo Picasso. Picasso was born in Malaga but lived in Barcelona with his family from 1895 to 1904, a period that shaped his artistic nature and character,  the years he exhibited his first works to the public. It is however a museum that holds a collection that can explain the way this larger-than-life figure, this titan of modern art evolved through time. The Picasso museum is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Picasso. The genius of the young artist is revealed through the 4,251 works that make up the permanent collection.
