Erwtensoep

Erwtensoep is a thick -as thick as it can get- soup made from split peas, celery, leaks, carrots & potatoes with different cuts of pork & slices of smoked sausage added just before serving.It is usually eaten with rye bread topped with smoked bacon, cheese & butter. It is usually eaten during cold winter days or more formally on New Year’s Day. Again the choice here would be the Voldaan Restaurant that specializes in soup and soups are what they’re good at.
