Golden Lane
Another point of of interest worth checking out is the Golden Lane (Zlatá ulicka), the small alley with the tiny cottages built in Mannerism style at the end of the 16th century, an overcrowded slum back in the Middle Ages, today a row of colorful souvenir shops that beckon for exploration. There is also a medieval museum of armory within the former 14th-century fortification accessible from the Golden Lane. The whole citadel will offer you a fascinating journey back in time, peaceful walks around its perfectly manicured Belvedere & Valdstein Palace gardens and astonishing views of the city. One that can’t be missed.
