Skykitchen (Romantic)
Skykitchen (Romantic). Skykitchen is an unpretentious and harmonious Michelin-starred restaurant located on the 12th floor of Vienna House Andel’s Berlin, featuring a capacity of up to 55 seats including 8 window seats, with seemingly endless views over the whole city. Shiny velvety benches on an unpolished concrete floor, unique flea market finds, and high-quality copper elements bring the exclusive Skykitchen experience to life in an unmistakable and stylish setting.
Alexander Koppe’s culinary signature is a crossover of fine dining and Berlin flair. Intuitive, easygoing, and carefree, the young chef de cuisine invites you into a world of flavors and aromas. The inspiration for his varied culinary style comes from fine French cuisine, the exotic diversity of Asia, and the down-to-earth culinary tradition of Berlin.
The delightful service and professional wine accompaniment to the Voyage Culinaire menu and the vegetarian menu are provided courtesy of restaurant manager Barbara Merll and her team consisting of Maximilian Istel, Erik Schelän, and sommelier Jakub Koscielniak. Alexander Koppe’s unique style is defined by sophistication and his classic training with some of Germany’s best chefs.
His previous career stops include the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin and the Grand SPA Resort A-Rosa in Travemünde. The Berlin native focuses on extracting aromas and intensifying the specific tastes that are typical to each food. Alexander Koppe has been chef de cuisine of the Skykitchen since 2012. For his outstanding performance, he received his first Michelin star in November 2014. Koppe is nominated as “Berliner Meisterkoch 2019” and one of Germany’s 100 best chefs at the 2019 Rolling Pin Awards. More
