Bretzels
Bretzels. Berlin’s Pretzels are different. Although Bavaria is considered to be the first region where the brezel or pretzels were produced, Berlin has also been a place where the fluffy and salty knot-shaped bread can be found in every single bakery, breakfast, and branch table.
It is a bit of a task to find the very good ones. A little crunchy on the outside and soft inside, classic ones with grains of salt, sesame or Cheese Pretzel but also more rare versions with poppy or pumpkin seeds, the internationally renowned Brezel (German) are the epitome of German baking tradition.
