Medieval Torture Instruments Museum
Right after you get off Charles Bridge, in the shopping arcade on the right side of the bridge is a quaint and scary museum known as the Medieval Torture Instruments Museum. This museum won’t take much of your time…especially if you have a weak stomach. The Medieval Torture Instruments Museum is exactly what its name says.
A museum of gruesome and pain (in the best case)- inflicting organs used during the Middle Ages by the Inquisition or the King’s “handymen” as a means of torturous punishment. More than 60 of these instruments that could very easily come out of a scenario of a “good old” horror movie are displayed on the three floors of this macabre and bloodcurdling exhibition that can in the same time be pretty educative.
