Walk until you get lost..and then walk again…Walk until your feet can’t take it anymore. Venice belongs to the places where getting lost is a bonus. There are so many hidden corners and so much beauty that is usually overlooked by tourists. Choose a peripheral point of reference to make your head start and start moving towards St. Mark’s Square. Do that without a map.

The labyrinth of small intersecting alleys and canals guarantees you will get lost but in Venice, that’s actually a good thing. Whenever you feel you’ve gone too far just open your GPS. Of course, the walk can be the other way around, meaning you start from St. Mark’s and head outwards. With occasional stops to the places, you find irresistible and there will be many, this out-of-the-beaten-path walk can be the thing you’ll remember most from your trip.
