Pirukas

Pirukas are a baked relative of Polish pierogies, consisting of meat, vegetable, or sweet fillings stuffed inside a small pocket of fresh dough. The dough pockets are filled with a variety of different ingredients, but the large ones are usually filled with cabbage, meat, mushrooms and carrots.

Some of the best Pirukas in town are served in Pegasus Restaurant. Some of the comments in TripAdvisor: ” This restaurant was recommend to us by our local tour guide. She said it was where she would go to eat. It did not disappoint” “We ate here at the end of a food tour, so only a main course and dessert was included. But both were fantastic” ” I love this place! I had the two fish soup and pan fried halibut. Great flavours. The bread is amazing! I highly recommend it.”
