Spend a day at the Zoo

Spend a day at the Zoo. Spend a whole day (maybe you’ll be able to squeeze everything up in just one day) exploring one of the most impressive zoos in the world.  Maybe seeing wildlife up close is not the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear about Prague but it will surely be one of the things that will be deeply etched in your memory if you decide to follow our suggestion.

4158 specimens of 645 species, among them 132 species listed as endangered, in an area of 58 hectares, about 1.3 million annual visitors and 229 employees are some of the numbers that can only partly reflect the reality of this place.

The “Giant Salamander House” where you get to admire the largest amphibians in the world, the “Elephant Valley” the largest elephant exhibit in the history of the Zoo, home to a herd of eight Indian elephants, the “Hippo House”, the tourist favorite “Gorilla Pavilion”, the ‘Indonesian Jungle” with its giant trees, orangutans & Komodo dragons, the “African House” & the “Pravilion of Penguins”, the “Fur Seal Exhibit” and “Lemur Island”… the list is quite extensive.
