Eat, drink and even learn to dance like a Neapolitan on this fun, activity-filled night out in the old Sanitá neighbourhood of Naples. Although it’s only a short distance from the historic centre, this achingly cool area is like its very own suburb in the middle of the city. Sanità has had a turbulent past, but today it’s a lively, working-class neighbourhood that attracts bohemians and more curious travellers who want to see an untamed side of Italy.

Our Naples food tour starts in the early evening when the area begins to come alive. The first stop is a humble dive bar where the locals go to socialise after work, then it’s off to try some of the city’s favourite foods! You’ll sample the most popular street eat – la pizza fritta (deep-fried pizza) and even learn pizza-making secrets from Ciro, a professional pizza chef who is celebrated for his featherlight dough.

Remember to save some space in your stomach for the highlight of the evening – dinner and entertainment on a private rooftop terrace overlooking the city! Watch the sunset over Mount Vesuvius while you eat, then join your friendly host and new friends for an evening of Naples-inspired games and activities. You’ll learn to dance the Tarantella, discover why the Italians invented the tambola (traditional board game), and sing along to the unofficial Naples anthem – ‘O Sole Mio’. Just before you leave, you’ll receive a ‘True Neapolitan’ certificate for your efforts.
