Xuixo. A delicious Catalan dessert that made its debut in Girona many years ago and sounds like a Chinese word. Xuixo pronounced “shuu-shoo” or “Chu-cho” in Castilian is a deep-fried croissant-like pastry, that is filled with crema catalana and coated in crystallized sugar.
