Carbonnades Flamandes is a traditional sweet-sour beef & onion stew made with beer & seasoned with thyme laurel & mustard. Mushrooms or spiced bread can also be added. It is of course accompanied by the omnipresent Belgian fried potatoes. It is similar to the French Beef Bourguignon but made with beer instead of red wine.

Our choice for this dish is ‘t Braboke restaurant. ’t Braboke is loved by many because of its coziness and its unique location. The fact that you can see the Grote Markt while enjoying your meal adds to the experience. No matter what you’re craving, you’ll find it at ‘t Braboke!

Not only do we have fish and meat platters, but we also have burgers, pastas, salads and of course the famous Belgian waffles. Come by as soon as you can because I’d hate for you to miss out on this amazing experience called eating at ‘t Braboke!
